What is Moderator?

A moderator manages the flow of a session — for example sorting questions, keeping chat on topic and making sure speakers keep to time.

Why it matters

In a large session, the person speaking cannot also watch chat, sort questions and admit latecomers. A moderator takes those jobs so the presenter can focus, and the audience feels that questions are handled fairly.
